Social Good App

PROBLEM: The main problem was that there was no way of understanding nutrients and what foods give us what type of nutrition.
SOLUTION: Solution was to design an app that would help children not only learn about nutrition and its benefits but also the type of foods that give the desired nutrition.

Research and Findings:

The research conducted throughout the user research for the NUTRI+ app was regarding finding about how to accommodate a fun and informative learning platform for kids to learn nutrition and how often do they learn about nutrition and how they find out about nutritional facts and know whether what nutrients that are eating and in what capacity.
Thus, the persona that was created to help understand the user pain points was:

The user pain points addressed were:

1. Very few platforms present which gives all information regarding nutrition.

2. Too much time goes in finding what to eat and how much nutrients each food item contains.

Wireframes and LoFi Prototype:

The user pain points addressed were:

1. Very few platforms present which gives all information regarding nutrition.

2. Too much time goes in finding what to eat and how much nutrients each food item contains.

Using the completed set of digital wireframes I created a low fidelity prototype. The main user flow was of the user going through nutrients the foods that contain the particular nutrient and a nutrition chart. The link for the LoFi prototype is below.

Usability Studies:

An unmoderated usability study was conducted among 5 participants which lasted around 30 to 60 minutes. the following usability study led to these findings.

Mockups and HiFi Prototype:

After conducting the usability studies certain insights were created which led to the iteration of the designs even further. the insights being:

After the insights were selected and narrowed down these certain changes were included.

The final mockups being:

The final high-fidelity prototype contained cleaner user flows and clearly solved all the user pain points addressed both before and after conducting usability studies. The

Responsive Designs:

Sitemap:

The sitemap aims to provide an ease of access to the user when visiting from one page to the other and always having a way to go back or find the chart for uses.

Mockups on screen size variation:

The main objective behind the responsive designs was to provide the user a consistent experience like the app with accessible and easy to use features. The responsive designs include designs for a website and a tablet.

A detailed overview of the case study for the app design for NUTRI+ is in the link below.
